About Me

Grown out of Tollington Park Baptist Church, TPFC brings together Chrisitans and non-Christians to glorify our Lord Jesus through football and fellowship. With players coming from churches across London, we play in the North East London & Essex Church League against other church teams from the region. We are into our third season and aim is to set a third record score in the Behaviour and Sportsmanship League as a priority... and hope improve on our 10th place finish from last season. That's all folks... for now!

Well, the season has truly ended and - in the traditional closing ceremony - the get together was held.

At the Venue of Rowan's Bowling Alley, Finsbury Park:

Peter Speroni was pipped by Tony Simpson in the Bowling Tournament;
Internazionale Milan were led to Champions League glory by the Special One;
Jonny Hill was awarded the Committees Player of the Year;
Owen Lindsay & Steve Speroni shared the honour of Most Improved Player;
Sam Balogun got his hands on his first individual award after the Boss selected him as his Player of the Year;
And Tony Simpson (getting used to leading the pack!) and Nick Speroni were pipped in a closely run race for Players Player of the Year by Tollington Park's 'Evergreen' (with footwork to rival the great Roger Milla) Trevor Lindsay.

What will 2010/2011 hold?
Will the Black & Blue stripes of the Wanstead Flats bring further success next season?

You'll know how to find us - we'll be back again at www.tpfc1011.blogspot.com
